Re: Nintendo 3DS
I suck at rhythm games but I didn't have any issues with Harmo Knight.
I remember having a lot of trouble in one of the GBC Zelda games (I forget which one) where you had to play the rhythm game in order to get an item from the Goron? I think it might have been Oracle of Ages.

The clerk at gamestop told me that if you want any upcoming 3DS games you'd better pre-order. It's gotten to the point where on some games (they used Luigi's Mansion as an example) the store only gets enough stock to cover the pre-orders.
I'm honestly getting to the point where Nintendo undercutting stores and pushing digital sales isn't crazy conspiracy talk.

Yeah, I'm suspecting this as well. At least for 3DS anyway. Finding Luigi's Mansion was impossible for me. I ended up having to order from Amazon which luckily had several in stock.Opa Opa wrote:The clerk at gamestop told me that if you want any upcoming 3DS games you'd better pre-order. Older. Not wiser.
Re: Nintendo 3DS
I had no problem getting one of hundreds (or thousands?) at PAX East.
Same w/ Fire Emblem. No idea what GameStop stock is like. But I tend to pre-order a lot anyway.

Its Gamestop, they always did this. When I worked for them in the late 90s as a Software ETC they did this. Preorder the or else you wont get it on launch, then week or two later they usually get a big shipment of titles.
My first place I check is a bigbox store - Target, Walmart, etc, because they usually have multiple copies. Sadly this burned me on the Zelda Wiimote, but ohwell.

I wonder if this is a Gamestop specific issue. Next 3DS release take a look at the stocks at regular stores like Best Buy. If they're getting decent numbers then it sounds like Gamestop corp is screwing over your local store.Opa Opa wrote:The clerk at gamestop told me that if you want any upcoming 3DS games you'd better pre-order. I find that Animal Crossing 3DS XL to be kind of 'meh'. I mean, I GUESS it is sort of cute? The girls will like it. Will stick with my Pikachu 3DS XL. Hope they bring the SMTIV one here

Yeah, it looks alright, but the colors they chose gives it a elementary school vibe.
I really need to get an XL though. I am pretty sure our current 3DS will be glued to my girl's hands when New Leaf comes out.

That's precisely my thought on the design scheme.ZenErik wrote:The girls will like it.
As much as I like my Zelda 3DS, I'd make the move to the XL if we got the SMT system.
