Wario Land Shake It

Post by SpaceBooger »

I was reading about this today... It looks very retro, a 2d platformer.
Anyone play this yet?

It looks good

The marketing for it is great.

My wife and I are playing this together. Definitely one of the better games on the Wii lately. I'm considering doing a review on the game, since it seems to be coming out short, yet sweet. The motion controls feel natural and integrated, a nice change of pace from most games. I actually tried the motion controls for Guilty Gear Accent Core... not pretty.

Just a shame Nintendo didn't atually show it to anyone... No one seems to know this game exists!

No, but after seeing it on X-Play, I've been dying to get my hands on it.

I actually reserved this game and went and grab it the day it came out. I had really high hopes for it and guess what???...

IT BLEW THEM OFF!!!! Finally a decent platformer for the current generation (well 2d i was anxiously waiting for a good 2d platformer on the new consoles) and its on the Wii with Wario. The controls on the game are very simple you just use the 2 to jump and 1 to do the dash attack. If you shake the controller and Wario has something on his hands his gonna shake the hell out of it and drop whatever thing it has.

The visuals are beautiful everything looks hand drawn with vivid colors. The only thing I didn't liked about this game is that its short (story side) really short. But if your like me and you want to find everything there's a lot of hours in there and let me tell you, you are not gonna get bored. So if anybody here has a Wii I recommend this game a 110% its worth every penny.

On a side note De Blob is a pretty sweet game also. I'm fighting the wife over so I can play wario land and she wants to play De Blob

Last boss is somewhat difficult. My wife has been stuck on him for about an hour's playtime. I tried a few times, but since I haven't played more than a level's worth, I'm relatively worthless as well. Timing for this guy has to be perfect - but we always get slaughtered at the last level (with the lightning). Even if we have full hearts, it's pretty difficult to hit him three times in a row to take damage from him.

Stupidly easy game suddenly requires skills.

More practice is needed.
