remember the lift I described? I got up the lift using the Magnum. So a while after that you hit this door. I've gone around everywhere between the door and the left and can't figure out how to get this door to open. The keypad next to it does nothing. Any walkthrough I've checked on Youtube seems like the door is just open and I can't figure out what's different about what I did.

Just finished my Black Mesa playthrough. It stops at the Xen transition, but let's be honest; Xen sucks.

As for you Noise, sorry, can't help you. Last time I did On A Rail was back in September, and that was the Black Mesa version.

Was there a soldier near the door that tried to blow you up with TNT mounted to the walls?

-Your DC version looks graphically superior to the PS2 version. Are you playing on a projection television or HDTV?

there were a couple soldiers and that area, but I killed em good. Please don't tell me I was supposed to let one open that door or something? Cuz I don't have an earlier save... :?

I'm playing on LCD monitor via the DC VGA box. And yeah, it really does look excellent.

No, there's nothing like that which i can recall.

When I said "use" the door I literally meant go up to it and hit the "use" button (not the control pad). Otherwise you are missing some alternate route (e.g. a ladder going up/down, a path somewhere, etc.).
