 Okay.

I could post pictures at some point, but for now, here's a list of what I picked up. Slightly under $5 a cart, average, after shipping.

I also got Brain Lord, but the SFC version wasn't in the RFgen database. :?

Waiting on an SFC from hashiriya to test them all out, but I got them from SolarisJapan.com.

Unfortunately, the cheap carts were mostly the more popular nintendo titles and RPGs (which obviously saves me a lot of money, anyway) and not really any of the Konami and Capcom games that I really want for the system.

That's a nice little lot right there, and $5 a cart looks about right. Sucks the only action exclusive is Mickey to Donald Magical Adventure 3, and even that was released on the GBA.

Man, my late-at-night, head-math is really suffering lately. More accurately they were a little more than $4 a cart on average. I mainly felt like I was getting a lot of the staples without dealing with Nintendo tax, and the way SNES stuff has been going, that looked good to me. Would have been nice if I could have gotten Akumajou, Demon Blazon, Sparkster, Hagane, etc in there for that price too, but--

I haven't even owned an SNES since the Dreamcast came out, so the lack of SFC exlusive action/platform games doesn't bother me so much. I still feel a bit like I picked up a tramp, and told her she could live with my lover and I, though.

Aw, give the SFC some flack. However, if you do decide to sell, I may take a number from you.

I'm actually considering the same thing right now... it's amazing how cheap SFC games are if you buy in bulk to consolidate shipping costs.

Also, a related question: Do SFC AC adapters work on SNES? Thanks!
Retro Games and Fighting Games

Playing: Lunar 2 (Sega CD). After? Dark Wizard or SNES games!

The SFC AC brick uses a smaller input than the SNES, they are not compatible.

The ebay lots from hit-japan and yamatoku w/100 or 200 games are an excellent buy, if you have the patience to wait for 2 months for it to arrive. They're smart of course, you won't find any $20+ titles in there, but there are quite a few $5-10 games mixed in. After free surface shipping, you get the games for under $2 apiece.

The first lot jmbarnes101 and I got about 3 years ago now had Super Genjin 1 / 2, Go Go Ackman 1 / 2 (not 3), CB Chara Wars, all the mario and donkey kong games, some JP exclusive fighters like yu yu hakusho, dragonball, sailor moon and others. Then about 60 rpgs we couldn't play, but there are plenty who can, so we got $2-3 apiece for those anyways.

Thoughts on SolarisJapan? I've been thinking about ordering from that site for some time.

I've heard good things on shmups forums - a lot of guys get their XRGB's from them as they are cheaper than ebay.

They are very competitive price wise across all platforms but rarely keep their stock active on retro stuff. They'll send you pics if you request i've heard, but can't confirm. Most of their games are CIB, even cart based, I believe you can ask or it might even say right on the site. Yep, just checked, if you click on the game it will tell you if CIB or not and even grades them.
