[3DS] Latest firmware improves system performance?

Post by wip3outguy7 »

People are reporting that system performance has improved across multiple games after the latest system update. The UI loads smoother and the system seems to have less trouble accessing content from the memory card.

My experience:

Resident Evil Revelations - Game sections load a little faster. Hiccups during enemy spawns are nearly halved. Just a more fluid experience all around.

Code of Princess - Areas that used to chug are quite a bit more stable now. I would say the frame rate has doubled in some of the more insane bonus missions.

Overall the battery appears to drain faster and the bottom of the system gets warmer than usual.

Haven't noticed a difference in the few games I've played since the update.

On the web browser right now with a game in stand-by. Yep, the web browser at least is probably twice as fast.

Yeah, a huge improvement. Everything still has to refresh when you move around on a webpage, but it's fast enough now that it feels like I'm browsing on my old iPod Touch.
