Slow-paced!? Are you sure you're talking about KOF06??? The game is pretty damn fast not only by 3D based fighting game standards but even by its 2D counterpart. I don't know if the game meets the same fundamentals as 2D KOF as the Maximum Impact series is heavily reliant on preset combos like many 3D fighters. Transitioning from playing 2D KOF and switching to Maximum Impact isn't that simple... not like say one would from playing 2D SF and attepting to play SF EX series. But I do agree that its a very fun game especially 2006/MI2. I have every release of Maximum Impact ever made, and 2006/MI2 is by far the best.
