PS1 Game Finds - $5.00 each BookOff
Outstanding deals at BookOff, most PS1, PS2, Gamecube and XBox games are only five bucks and even a lot of the IMPORTS ARE FIVE BUCKS! :D

Depth
Judging from the back cover looked like ECCO with a hopefully a little REZ mixed in due to the music aspect. Turned out it is swim around and collect music sounds to remix as in MTV MUsic Generator. Disappointing, but different.

IQ Final (Intelligent Qube)
Not the regular IQ Japanese version but FINAL WITH EXTRA LEVELS! Tricky levels at that, can also be played with Arcade Stick.

Pet In TV
The more obscure cardboard box edition, this really stands out on the shelf. I saw it the day before, surprised it was still there so bought it. Tamagochi style game, tell the pet where to move and watch it solve puzzles, clear obstacles and collect things.

Pilot ni Narou!
Similar to Dreamcast Aero Wings, practice different flight maneuvers. The best part is compatibility to the huge PS1 Flight Stick! The setup menu has a nice test screen of the Flight Stick, a 3d view that reflects what stick is moved or button is pressed.

Also called Wing Over 2 in Europe:

Unlock Bonus Jet - Select Jet Course and press Right, Left, Right, Left, Up, Up, Up, Triangle

Klaymen Klaymen 2 (Skull Monkeys)
The platformer version of Neverhood. All I can say is I reeeeally hate those monkeys impeding my progress through the levels.

Klaymen Klaymen (Neverhood)
Oooooh yeah! The classic and expensive PC game on the PS1. Mouse and Nyco Trakball compatible, all the great music is there. Thankfully the Hall Of Records is only one screen.

A great Neverhood site! All kinds of trivia including Faqs and Maps:

You were right. He already edited his post, 17 times...

I thought I saw a dollar symbol, but got confused since they were Japanese games and I didn't know there were Book Offs in the US...

For a second I thought CRT lived in Japan or was there on vacation...

Nice finds by the way CRT... ^^

I really wish there was a Book Off either in NorCal or New England. The pictures I see Terrence post from his Japan trips make me crazy jealous!

I also found a cool new relocated store called Trade Land. They sell everything from music equipment to electronics to power tools. I picked up a copy of SF4 Arcade Edition for xbox for $6.99! I'm not sure if it will get played anytime soon, but that price was too good to pass up.

Book Offs is def expanding their operations here in the So Cal area. That and Round 1. Looks like japan is finding a new home around here. Perhaps you should visit

I don't know where I've been, and I don't know what I've done, but I got back to my front door with a box of stuff under my arm, and a receipt. I'll try to piece things together along with all of you.

Not sure where to start, but I guess Alex Kidd in Shinobi World is as good a place as any:

CB for $16 I guess

This one has to be a homebrew game or something, 'cause I'm pretty sure retail stores never really sold this.

Apparently it's called Rule of Rose (New) and apparently I payed $40 for it.

Now I know I must have been blacked out all day, because I told myself I would never start buying arcade software. Receipt says $30 for the S-TV board and $25 total on the five games: Sando-r, Virtua Fighter Remix, Virtua Fighter Kids, Puyo Puyo Sun, Soukyugurentai.

This one's kinda weird; sounds like something foreign. Di-- Di-- DyeMyHoobaStang? That can't be right. Anyway, it's by Capcom, so it must be good. Receipt says $50; I'm inclined to believe whatever this magical slip of paper says.

Now what you've all REALLY been waiting to see: Altered Beast for the Genesis FOR $4 DOLLARS CIB!!! PLUS!!! THREE MANUALS FOR $1!!!

Image

Yep, I'm definitely most excited about the Thunder Force II manual.
