Sadly, this is likely the real reason Dracula keeps coming back. The Belmont clan doesn't fight him, they just hurt his self esteem.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Richter: A miserable pile of secrets??..<choking up> Do you really feel that way?Ack wrote: You're nothing but a miserable pile of secrets.
Dracula: Well, maybe that was going a bit far, but...
Richter: <runs off crying>
Dracula:...that was awkward.
Maria:...Yeah. Maybe you should go and talk to him.
Dracula: I dunno. He seems pretty emotional right now. I think its best if we just leave him alone. I'm pretty sure we'll see him again next weekend, and we can talk then.
Maria: I guess.
<Maria and Dracula leave>

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Maybe sucking at games more than Luke does is key here.
I had to use everything available to me to take down some of the mobs, and in certain encounters, I refused to let anyone see me, so there was a pretty big stealth element. I was never able to get away with just punch and counter after about the half way point.
You've played too much Bayou Billy Luke, and now no game will suffice.

Luke, what do you think of the beat 'em up genre in general?
Ack,
There's too much disparity in the genre of bmups for me to answer that. I love or loathe them. Batman Returns (snes), Vigilante (sms), Renegade (NES), and Streets of Rage (sega cd) are games I play at least twice a year.
The newer bmups (which I wouldn't classify Arkham as) are all glamor and no challenge. Well, at least the ones I have played.

If Bayou Billy had a counter, I would have beaten that sonovagun weeks ago.dunpeal2064 wrote: You've played too much Bayou Billy Luke, and now no game will suffice.

C = Jump
B = Attack
That's all you need to know. Everything else like special attacks and using weapons that you can pick up is dicking around.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

You still need to procure a copy of Silver Surfer.Luke wrote:If Bayou Billy had a counter, I would have beaten that sonovagun weeks ago.dunpeal2064 wrote: You've played too much Bayou Billy Luke, and now no game will suffice.

Might I suggest Guardian Heroes if you're looking for a beat 'em up with more depth? Or the D&D Games?Luke wrote:Ack wrote:

Or, if the heavens open up and god himself smiles upon us, a home port of Golden Axe 2 whenever it may arrive?

Which is why there's a little thing called "Challenge Rooms", I say to the guy who says the combat has no challenge. You know developers put these things in their games for a reason.Luke wrote:Y = CounterStark wrote:If you're essentially button-mashing to play an Arkham game, you're doing it wrong.Luke wrote:The Arkham series is terribly overrated. They are beautiful games, but tiresome, and the fighting stages are a joke. Doesn't take much brainpower to keep pressing one button over and over.

And if I can beat the game with such ease, I'm doing it right.
I'd also like to remind you that it's a FREAKING BATMAN GAME! Do you really think one of the best martial artists in the DC universe is going to struggle in most fights? A lot of people forget that one of the things the Arkham games get praised for is making you feel like you're Batman

But Golden Axe 2 was a home game, unless you meant The Revenge of Death Adder?TheSonicRetard wrote:Or, if the heavens open up and god himself smiles upon us, a home port of Golden Axe 2 whenever it may arrive?
