No argument there. But the Arkham series is hailed as a GOTY. I don't see it at the slightest.

Well, I mean, if you don't like spicy food, and you only eat escargot battered in chili batter, then it is conceivable that you're eating escargot wrong. In other words, stop doing what you don't like in the game. If it hurts, stop! :P

(That's not to defend the games. I've never played them.)

The combat in AA is limited because the enemies are not good enough to force you to actually use any real tactics. So yes, it is the developers fault for not making the game push you to use other maneuvers, it is not because someone is "doing it wrong".

The same could be said of all religions
Or atheism. Or Communism. But this is about video games. Want to discuss religion, we'll be happy to lock your topic in the Whatever subforum after it results in a fight.

Luke, what do you think of the beat 'em up genre in general?

My post was more about video games than you think

Wrong. The correct response is:

"Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!"

Bah, whatever. You're nothing but a miserable pile of secrets. But enough talk, have at you!

Kind of. My main point is that the game is pretty mindless and super repetitive.

Not saying the series isn't great, just saying the game and its fighting system are overrated.

Plus, (not directed at Ack) don't tell me how I'm playing a video game "wrong". That's as dumb as telling someone "You don't like escargot? You must be eating it wrong".
Don't get your panties in a twist, saying "you're doing it wrong" is an expression. Still I say that the fighting system is not overrated and is deep if you let it be. If you think that getting riddler trophies and playing the game in a fun manner is "dicking around" I don't know what to tell you other than, maybe this isn't the game for you.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Richter: A miserable pile of secrets??..<choking up> Do you really feel that way?

Dracula: Well, maybe that was going a bit far, but...

Richter: <runs off crying>

Dracula:...that was awkward.

Maria:...Yeah. Maybe you should go and talk to him.

Dracula: I dunno. He seems pretty emotional right now. I think its best if we just leave him alone. I'm pretty sure we'll see him again next weekend, and we can talk then.

Maria: I guess.

<Maria and Dracula leave>

<awkward silence in empty throne room>
