I think that this is well documented:

That is an interesting article, and it shows the limits of my experience in the south. The three states where I have spent the most time, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, all have lower scores than Utah, Missouri, Minnesota, Kansas, Wisconsin, Colorado, Illinois, and New Mexico. (We're basically tied with the racist stronghold of Oregon.) I am a bit surprised that New Jersey and Pennsylvania ranked so low, however.

Ticked off: I posted "Daily Reminder:Find a Stranger in the Alps" on facebook and none of my buddies got the reference.

Ticked off: It's already sizzling steering wheel and broiling belt buckle season.

Smile: Hot weather equals my wife and her friends in bikinis. Probably sound like a juvenile delinquent, but I prefer a wet bikini over lingerie.

The sexiest thing I can do with my trunks is to make sure my ass crack isn't showing.

Frown: Gasoline is about to get really expensive.

Smile: My Grandmother is celebrating her ninety third birthday today.

Sent to my Grandfather stationed in Japan, WWII:

Their wedding:

As always, she never sat when she served dinner:

She's still a pistol. I just got off the phone with her, and she gave me the business... "Hey Lukie! You finally sent a Birthday card in time, for the first time in your entire life".

For a devout old-school Catholic, she's is more open-minded than most people I know. "It's none of my business" is her modus operandi. She may call gays "the gays", but it's never in a demeaning way. "Lukie, did you see that the gays are getting married? Isn't that nice?".

I REALLY HATE THIS F'IN STEREOTYPE OF THE SOUTH.
It depends where you live. I know no really racist people in Texas. Most of the racist people I know are from Louisiana actually (including a ex- klan member.) But just because I know a bunch of old racist people in southern Lousiana doesn't mean the south is all racist. It depends on how they were raised and how old- fashioned their parents were. The south is more racist than the north, that's a fact. It's something due to slavery being so important to our economy in the 1800's, that's when we depended on slave labor. We didn't want them to be free then, we wanted them to stay slaves because we depended on their work. When they were freed and began to slowly get rights, things like the KKK started acting up and causing shit. Racism in our country is caused really, by our history (again talking about U.S. racism with the south).
I still have a small Confederate flag raised in my room. I am not proud of what they did. I have it because it is MY HERITAGE. The confederate flag is something I will always have up, it's my history no, it's OUR HISTORY.
