you guys want to know something hilarious?

a few years ago I bought clerks 2 on DVD at the fleamarket for a buck or two.

it worked perfectly untill you got to the beastiallity scene toward the end.

the movie would flicker and pause.

My best guess is that it was the former owners favorite scene. Its the only part of the disc that does that.

you may procede to puking now

Nope, never seen it, and dont really want to see it.

I go see movies based on pure entertainment value, not artistic value, oh yeah, fuck Roger Ebert

I loved the Dukes of Hazzard movie from 2005!, it was great!

Dunno if I'd say "great", but I do enjoy it and think it's funny.
Nope, it's great. It's hard to think of any cartoon with as short interval between good jokes as Clerks. And it had quite many clever ideas. Probably due to it's short length, it kept the average quality of episodes very high.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Agreed.

Clerks did some really clever things, like the first epsiode opening with a Last Week tag and showing color bars and the entire second episode. But if it had gone on for longer it would have fallen apart (I have the same opinion with Firefly). I do wish it would have gotten 13 episodes - some of the other plots were just solid.

Neither.

Do kids still tp/roll houses? In middle school rolling a house was a weekend ritual for me and my derelict friends.

CLERKS ANIMATED was good, not great. They never got the pacing right, and Dante is always sad Dante. No one gave any of the characters any range, and the muted colors and broad outlines look a bit amateurish. The ideas were clever (repeating the first episode for the second episode) but often poorly executed.

The cartoon also didn't add much to the Askewniverse, while the Clerk's comic really expanded the universe and added a lot to back stories.

Don't get me wrong, I like the series, but there was a reason it was cancelled.

I agree, but I imagine if it was allowed to go on a bit, they probably could've worked out the kinks and the show could've gotten much much better.

Still enjoyable, but yeah.
