Panzer Dragoon Saga is the best 32-bit RPG

I've only played the Japanese version because there's no way I'm paying for the American game. I like it, but it's not as life-changing as many folks seem to think it is.

The series does kick ass though.

I played about a half-hour to an hour into it. I wasn't impressed. Everything looked bland and dull to me with a lot of the same colors. While on the other hand, the main Panzer Dragoon series is very bright, colorful, and has beautiful visuals.

Please, I'm begging you, just go back and play for a bit longer, it really opens up after that first area and the color palette widens as well. If the whole game were like the beginning it wouldn't have even a tenth of the praise it gets now.

Do you have any reservations about emulation? It does play pretty well in SSF, having everything in english helps quite a bit with the enjoyment of the game.

I dislike Mega Man X because I preferred the NES Mega Man games. When I first encountered Mega Man X, my thought was, "Why animal bosses now? That seems dumb."

Mario Sunshine is better than Mario 64.

I still think Mario 64 is better than Sunshine, but Sunshine is better than both Galaxy games.

- The Dreamcast controller is the worst controller I have, Xbox 360 controller feels the best
- Dreamcast library sucks for the most part. Nothing but Model 3/Naomi arcade ports (and I love sega arcade games)
- Most beat em ups are boring as hell (except for SOR, Final Fight, Golden Axe)
- The Gex games are actually pretty fun, especially the first one.
- NFL 2K5 is the best football game ever, stupid EA and the NFL license.
- Rapture > Columbia
