Bart, can you review Dux for us? I'd love to hear your take.

I actually played thru the last level. It def has its faults. It just lacked some extra polish and fine tuning into the overall game. Lukily update 1.5 is set to come out in less than 3 weeks. From the looks of the trailer, just about everything wrong with the original has been addressed.

This sounds promising. Hopefully it's a vert shooter now and no longer called Dux.

Wow, from the praises being sung about this one, I'm kinda relieved that I never really looked into it.

On a side note: Does anyone have any input about Gunlord?

I don't follow? It's still the same game just revamped with a new remixed soundtrack. Its titles DUX 1.5

so Dux 1.5 is supposed to be worth it then?

@Fox: supposedly Gunlord is great. I still need to get a copy.

That I do not know. I expect to get the game for free, considering I bought the original. According to Helwigg.

Yeah, all the vids I checked out on it looked pretty badass. May have to look into it more.

Gunlord is outstanding. The comparisons to Turrican are accurate in many ways, yet I don't love Super Turrican, I find that game a bit discombobulated and I always feel like i'm missing things...but am I really missing things since I can pass the level anyways?

Gunlord feels crisper and more straightforward. Jump mechanics are more precise. I really enjoyed it - need to give it more time for sure.

@CD - I was being sarcastic. I simply loathe DUX, which is tough for me to do, i'm a big fan of DC and of shmups, so to loathe something means it's really just rough, for me anyways.

Now when you say you'll get it free, is this like a DLC or something or are you getting a physical game?
