That's kinda like 30 a year, right?

How about that! In 2010, Ds beat 13 more FPS than Noise. In 2011, 12 more, and in 2012, 6 more. That's way more than Noise has even played!
Re: Together Retro: Half-Life
Which just goes to show you that FPSes are just awesome.

Getting close to half way from what I recall (the "Residue Processing" chapter). Still haven't hit some of my favorite parts...I forgot how deliberate/slow/sparse a lot of these early levels are. The amount of actual shooting is really minimal in the early going, and there are far more sections with rails running through than I remembered. Still, I'm having a decent romp.
Re: Together Retro: Half-Life
As I posted earlier, if you gave me this game and the first 2 levels, except for the movie-style opening with the "credits" at the bottom, I'd think it was wayyyyy too slow for an FPS. When I went through the office complex and started acquiring weapons and exploring every inch of that level, the game really opened up.dsheinem wrote:Getting close to half way from what I recall (the "Residue Processing" chapter). My son just informed my wife that I was not, in fact, working earlier this afternoon but instead playing "Half of Life".

Re: Together Retro: Half-Life
killed the tentacle. Climbed down into the hole. I keep dying making the fall into the pool of water though. For some reason I'm missing the water and splatting onto hard ground. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
Re: Together Retro: Half-Life
Finally got a chance to sink into the game this weekend; I think what I enjoy most about Half-Life is the sound design. I'm a sucker for skulking through an empty hallway to the sound of an inter-dimensional alien cooing out of sight, and I jump each time the coo turns to mid-flight squeal. Love it. I'm at Residue Processing now.
-Noise, if you're dropping straight down into the hole you should be fine to hit the water. Could it be a glitch that you're experiencing?
