Just finished the single player for this on normal.
Anyone else picked it up?
Thoughts?
I loved it, it was the first mech war style game I've ever really gotten into, always thought they seemed cool but never did. Im glad i got his one it was sick imo.

Re: Armored Core FA
I just got to chapter 2, as I have way too many games to stick with one. I thought it was much better than Armored Core 4 (which was my first armored core game), though the auto-lock sometimes makes me feel that the game would be that much better with a mouse and keyboard, or a wiimote and chuck, for more precision. But then again, anything that involves precision shooting always strikes me as needing a mouse or similar device.
I do really like some of the Arms Forts. The fight against Mother Hope (I think that was the name, last mission of chapter 1) was amazing. Land Spider and Giga Base were a bit more of a disappointment, as you could just camp on the inside, avoid most the fire, and unload.

Re: Armored Core FA
i know what you mean about the aim functions.
it was really difficult and annoying for me at first but as i played it got better.
i also thought it was cool that as i progressed i realized i couldnt just pick one gunset and strategy and succeed that way. I had to constantly tweak my set up and style for different fights.
stick with it i think youll probably love it as you progress.
