There was a great sigh of relief the day we were told we could finally publicly talk about that.

Dude... srsly?

Ack mentioned Dexter's Lab, but what about just about anything on Adult Swim? Frisky Dingo? Sealab? Metalocalypse? THE VENTURE BROS!?

If you haven't checked out Venture Bros, please do so on Netflix! The first season is up. The pilot is kind of slow if I recall, but it picks up pretty quick.

Samurai Jack, Justice League Unlimited, Green Lantern the Animated Series, Young Justice, etc.

Problem with Cartoon Network is that lately they've become like the Fox of Cartoon Networks, cancelling quality stuff like GL and Young Justice. The second half of Green Lantern's first season is some of the best animated programming I've ever seen, especially "Loss" and "Cold Fury". The show turned a corner into classic territory with those two episodes.

For the record, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are effectively separate networks.

But no, seriously, you don't like Dexter's Lab, Ds? I'm kinda surprised by that. I thought you'd get a kick out of it.

For me personally, the CN is most noteworthy for their DC comics related programming. It all started back on the WB with Batman the Animated Series, then gradually that show's continuity would find its way to Cartoon Network with Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Any DC fan will tell you those are among the best animated DC programs of all time. Bruce Timm turns anything DC related into gold, and he has worked on those shows as well as being a producer on Green Lantern the Animated Series.

Then you have Samurai Jack, which is one of the greatest action cartoons ever made.

Robot Chicken, Star Wars Clone wars, Batman the Brave and the Bold, etc, etc.

They used to bring over some amazing anime too, like Cowboy Bebop.

I think dsheinem is just trolling, but if I'm wrong then wow.

I've never been able to stomach more than 5 minutes of it. It irks and annoys.

I think it is just an age thing, tbh. I think these shows are for people 5-10 years younger than me what shows like Animaniacs or Darkwing Duck were for me back when I was a kid. When Dexter's Lab and so on got started up, I was well past the target demo.

In fact, looking here I can see a total of one show I've moderately enjoyed (the original Clone Wars) and that one was only becasue of a unhealthy affection for the IP. And no, I didn't care for Samurai Jack, either.

I have liked a half dozen Adult Swim cartoons over the years, but I don't think I've enjoyed watching anything new on that channel in about a decade.
