Hey guys, I'm looking around at various SNES accessories, and I was wondering which of the multitaps available in the NTSC-U market is the best choice to pick up? The Hudson multitap, Hori multitap, or the Super 5-Play?
Also, would the Super Famicom multitap designed to look like Bomberman's face work on a Super Nintendo?
Best SNES multitap?
Re: Best SNES multitap?
I haven't tried it myself, but I'm almost 100% sure it does. Why wouldn't it?Ack wrote:Hey guys, I'm looking around at various SNES accessories, and I was wondering which of the multitaps available in the NTSC-U market is the best choice to pick up? I have the Hori and it's just fine.

Just wanted confirmation. Since it's not first party, I wasn't sure, but I'd love to add it to my collection if it is compatible.

I've got a Super 5-Play and it works great, had no problems with it so far. And if I remember correctly, it's typically cheaper than the other Multitaps.

Same. I bought it for $3 or so at a game store years ago, and have only used it for Battle Cross and Super Bomberman 5.Hazerd wrote:I have the Hudson one with Super Bomberman in the big box, works great!

My hudson multitap doesn't get much play because apparently the Sprite in Secret Of Mana makes the game "no fun for the rest of us".
Regardless, its always worked like a champ for me.

Any time you cast magic, you have to go into a menu (which pauses the game). Whenever I play as the sprite, I just chain cast magic. So during most boss fights, its basically just me pausing the game over and over again until the boss is dead. The other two people playing with me usually get sick of it pretty fast.
