Dear God they made GROWN UPS Part 2.

I also noticed I haven't mentioned I screened Scary Movie 5. That's probably because I've been trying very hard to forget about how awful it was.

Unless you find Marlyn Wayans fucking a stuffed animal for around four straight minutes to be hilarious, stay as far away from this movie as possible. It's a shit sandwich of a movie that never should have been made. Not that any of this should come as a surprise.

Such a heartfelt classic. Enzo Staiola as Bruno gives one of the most memorable performances, and not just as a child actor, but an actor. BICYCLE THIEVES is definitely a movie that needs to be passed down, generation after generation.

We remarked on that. The child actor in the film was amazing. Reading about the film this morning, I was surprised to see that all of the leads were filled by amateurs. It really is amazing considering the performances that he squeezed out of them. (The other movie I have seen recently with all amateur actors, Steven Soderbergh's Bubble (2005), was good but would have benefitted from some professionals...)

I liked.. 3? Maybe 4, because they seemed more like Airplane! type movies. I cannot stand Marlon Wayans. Or any of them, other than Damon.

This movie is full of later Family Guy humor where there aren't even jokes or punchlines, just references. And when they do go for actual jokes, it...it's as if the script was penned in crayon. And I'm totally lost on what demo they were aiming for. I'm guessing males between 18-25, but an eight year old (who is too young to watch this) would probably even exclaim "This is stupid" and walk out of the theater.

No doubt that there will people in the theater who will laugh only because of the cameos, but just seeing someone quasi-famous doesn't warrant a laugh in my book.

My dad just got "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie". He tells me that it's quite good and I need to get my butt over to his house to see it. I'm pretty excited, because I'm a big zombie-movie nut.

Has anyone else seen this one? Am I in for a treat? Or is it bad? My dad does have a liking for super-cheese movies, sometimes.
