Oh, that reminds me.
I think the PS1 version of Resident Evil is the best version of the game.
The REmake is, in my opinion, unfairly hard with the addition of crimson heads and that one door which breaks after two or three uses. The prettier graphics and extra weapons are nice, but unnecessary. And I find the bad voice acting, and arguably worse writing, to be charming.

I never found REmake to be a particularly difficult game at all honestly. To be honest it more or less hit my sweet spot.

Did you play a different version first perhaps?AppleQueso wrote:"Unfairly hard"?MrEco wrote:Oh, that reminds me.

Cause I got the feeling that the REmake was intended for people that already had beat the game on PS1 and would need something extra to give them more challenge.

REmake was actually my first proper survival horror game.MrEco wrote:Did you play a different version first perhaps?AppleQueso wrote:"Unfairly hard"?MrEco wrote:Oh, that reminds me.

I like both versions, maybe the REmake more but i didn't see the crimson heads as unfairly hard... a friend almost didn't play the game because he thought it would be too hard for him... but he dosen't play survival horror games. In those cases there allways easy mode and JillMrEco wrote:Oh, that reminds me.

You cannot like the original and not like the voice acting, is part of the expirience.

Goldeneye (n64) isn't a good game anymore. It always annoys me when people still reference as a good game to play today.
