I think its due to the fat content of the food. I have the same issue after eating fast food burgers or deep fried food. Oddly enough, I don't have that problem with restaurant burgers or burgers Ive made at home. There has got to be something wrong with your digestive track if you're having that extreme of a reaction to fast-food.

Not saying that fast-food burgers are healthy by any means. But the reactions you guys are talking about isn't your average reaction to it. I can eat healthy food, and fast-food both. And I have no problem with either.StuntDouble wrote:I think its due to the fat content of the food. I have the same issue after eating fast food burgers or deep fried food. Personally, I couldn't possibly eat just fast food or just healthy food, I have to have a balance of both. For the sake of variety in my diet and not getting sick of what I'm eating. Tonight I've got a mushroom & pepperoni pizza, which I'm sure will be delicious when it gets here. Yet I can have a good baked fish and steamed vegetables and enjoy it just as much.

I'm not back reading through all of this thread, but did anyone point out how awkwardly worded the thread title is?
I admit it is juvenile, but the title means something completely different than say "Why do people eat McDonalds?".

The at in the title keeps it from sounding sexual, in my eyes at least.Luke wrote:I'm not back reading through all of this thread, but did anyone point out how awkwardly worded the thread title is?

Not sure if I've had fast food once this year so far.
I am sure I don't miss it at all. Or soda.
Dairy is still my weakness though, lol.

shamrock shakes are awful though. It's like sucking down a cup of toothpaste.Jrecee wrote:Mcdonalds gets my money one time a year. In march when I get their shamrock shakes (and inevitably order some fries too because of the scientifically engineered smell that emits in the drive thru). Otherwise I don't eat there. And not for some holier than thou punishing the corporate conglomerate justified reason. I just think their food sucks and prefer to support independent local businesses that can't be replaced by another two blocks away. I like Wendys though.
Of course I can't talk when I eat the mcrib willingly so eh.

Re: Why do people eat out at McDonalds?
I don't really eat fast food much anymore. I'm a sucker for a milkshake though, and for that, I still end up going to fast food joints because it's cheaper. Also I try to not have crappy food (like icecream) in the house because I know I will sit there and eat at least a pint.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Why do people eat out at McDonalds?
I only got 3 or 4 shamrock shakes this year. Damnit, now I want one.
