I know, its just an opinion.

But, RPGs! The PSX slams both the N64 and Saturn when it comes to RPGs. The Saturn had a few decent RPGs, but nothing on it holds a candle to what the PSX has to offer.

Maybe he just really loves Shining Force III, Albert Odyssey, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Ogre Battle 64?

spEAking of Crash Bandicoot, I know it's not too unpopular and I haven't played the later games recently, but I like the post-Naughty Dog Crash games.

Silly, nobody can afford PDS.

Paper Mario is great though and now I feel bad for forgetting it

I never liked any of the Paper Marios. They just felt like a let down to me after playing Mario RPG, which is still one of my favorite JRPGs. I did enjoy the parts of Super Paper Mario I played, but that was more of a platformer. And the Mario and Luigi series was neat but really easy.

Paper Mario was a letdown following Super Mario RPG, and I didn't care for it as much at first. After a while though, I learned to appreciate it for being its own thing, and I like it a lot more now.

Rare + Popular seems like an oxymoron...
