Anyone here know what a Galaxy S III phone (16gb model) would be worth for straight cash?
I'm selling something on Craigslist, asking $350 for my item, and I got a trade offer, a Pebble Blue 16gb GSIII + cash.
Price check, kinda?

Wow, really? Mine was free with a three year plan with Verizon.aaron wrote: probably around $300. this is a weird forum to ask this on.
After checking ebay, I would stand firm at $325. That seems to be a reasonable price.

yeah the prices are drastically different if you're buying the device without a contract.Luke wrote:Wow, really? Mine was free with a three year plan with Verizon.aaron wrote: probably around $300. this is a weird forum to ask this on.

That's what I thought as well (pricewise) but I'm wondering if I should ask for more cash, meaning the phone plus like $250, lol. The price on the SIII is gonna plummet when the SIV comes out soon.

Strike while the iron is hot! Not sure what your deal entails, but $325 seems fair and square to me for the phone.
For some reason I still held onto my blackberry after getting a Galaxy, and I'm glad I did. Sure, I can't use it to make calls with, but it's a great mobile storage device and has a semi decent camera on it.

Well, the problem is this: I'd only take him up on the trade if I can turn around and sell the phone. I've got a Galaxy Note and the wife has an iPhone 4 that she won't give up for an Android phone.
Even if I took the trade, I'd have to be able to sell it, which would prove difficult with the new phone on the horizon.

what are you trading if you don't mind me asking?indecks wrote:Well, the problem is this: I'd only take him up on the trade if I can turn around and sell the phone. I've got a Galaxy Note and the wife has an iPhone 4 that she won't give up for an Android phone.

you could probably flip the phone for an easy $200 if he'll give you at least $100 cash. i'd say the phone plus $150 since you don't have a guarantee of a ROI. he'll probably decline but whatever, it's not like you wanted the phone anyway

Re: Price check, kinda?
I'm selling another hacked PS3 that I came across. Honesty I'm even thinking of selling my RGH'ed 360. I've gotten out of gaming for the most part. Still into arcades and board/tabletop, but videogames have gotten increasingly irritating for me.
not to derail my own thread but as an example, I was playing the new God of War game and it's just pissing me off. Maybe I suck at games now, or something but Im at this part where I got a new power or something and it tells me "hey use the magic part by hitting L3/R3." but in order to do that, I have to get several consecutive hits on the enemies to build up the magic/rage/whatever meter, and the enemies spawn infinitely at this point. Apparently theywill stop once I use the magic X amount of times. Problem is, THEY FUCKING INTERRUPT MY HITS every god damned time. So I can't GET the consecutive hits to activate whatever power it is. It's just maddeningly frustrating.
Stuff like that makes me think "maybe im just not a videogamer anymore."
