ARGO
I like Ben Affleck. Sure, he married a non-passable transsexual, and he's been in quite a few crappy movies, but I like the guy. I really liked THE TOWN too.
ARGO surprised me. I went in not knowing what it was based on, or what it was going to be about. I just heard it was good. I thoroughly enjoyed this flick. It wasn't action packed, and it wasn't really a 'thriller' or whatever you'd wanna call it. The way I feel about it is almost like I felt about the first time I ever watched LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (Swede version, natch). During the movie I felt that it wasn't really moving forward, and was kinda/sorta 'boring' (but not really meaning to call it boring). But once the credits rolled I thought to myself: Well, shit. That was a really enjoyable movie!
I felt like this about ARGO. I wasn't bored through it (neither was I bored with LtROI), just not a lot happened. But it was really great. Don't know if I'll buy it, (probably) but still a rather good film. I wanna watch it again, honestly.

This is Alain Delon being the movie-cop Alain Delon. Conversely however, it's mostly interesting because Richard Crenna (Col. Trautman) plays a Frenchman on the wrong side of the law.

THE LOST BOYS (1987)
If for some reason this movie had been stuck in a vault only to be found and released this very day, it would still seem fresh. Well, shirtless saxophone guy looks goofy, but he always did anyway. But the story, the humor, the relationships are all still relevant. Hell, even the soundtrack doesn't sound dated. Old, yeah, but not in a bad way at all.
If you haven't seen THE LOST BOYS, get it on Bluu-Ray, grab some buds, and get ready for a fun ride.

I really did enjoy it quite a bit. It wasn't a "OMG gotta rant and rave and write a huge review" on this movie, but I'll definitely watch it again.

A Mighty Wind - 2003
An excellent Christopher Guest/Eugene Levy mockumentary about folk singing. If you like SpinalTap and want more of similar, Mighty Wind is the second best. And like the Tap the songs get stuck in your head. But unlike Tap they are just catchy and upbeat.
