Hello all
Today I purchased a SUPER FAMICOM from a barbers (???) down the road from me. It has had a EURO RGB SCART mod already done, but the guy bundled it with what he called a 'working power adaptor'. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case, as it didn't match any of the specs needed to power the Super Famicom in the UK.
The console itself was just turning on and making weird rainbow like patterns with the supplied Power adaptor, so I thought I had a dud. I then tried the console with a UK MD 1 power supply, as recommended on certain forums and the machine loaded, and played all games. However, each game seems to have graphical glitches, mostly on the title logos and background graphic layers when games are playing. I have added some images for you to see what I mean.
Has anyone come across this before? Thought it may have been a problem with the cartridge connector, so that has been replaced, also, tried the output from the modded RGB Scart that is hardwired into the machine and through an RCA Composite from teh Multi Out (I think that's what they are called the 3 pin wire with R, Y and W connectors, and the problem persists. I believe it may be a power source problem. Can anyone shed any light on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might be a problem with the PPU.
If the PPU is fried, you'll pretty much have to get a new console.

I thought as much this may be the case. I have a UK Super NES, sat around and I can rip parts from it. But do you know if there is any spare part on the UK PAL Super NES, that can be replaced for the SUPER FAMICOM parts and still work?
