A faulty PS1 disc doesn't sound too surprising, but the situation is a little odd:
The Crash Bandicoot 2 PS1 Disc I have is very scratched up (very basic scratches all over, 2 or 3 noticeable strong scratches), and when playing on either of my PS1s it seems just fine until I get to the The Eel Deal level, where it takes longer than usual to load on the part where the screen fades to white, and then you see the level with no music and no Crash, but still accessible in bringing up the HUD, and if you wait too long the game crashes, but before that you can still open up the start menu and leave to the warp room though it takes longer to load than usual.
Any help here?

Obvious that it is the scratched disc. You are going to wear out your Laser Eye quicker if you don't polish out those scratches.BitFaced wrote:The Crash Bandicoot 2 PS1 Disc I have is very scratched up (very basic scratches all over, 2 or 3 noticeable strong scratches)

Unsurprising question, do I just use polish to take the scratches off (and how?)?CRTGAMER wrote:Obvious that it is the scratched disc.
