Not sure if it's an unpopular opinion, but the music in Sonic R is awesome. And so is Generation 3 of Pokemon (or at least Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald), and the GameCube for its controller, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, SSBM, Animal Crossing and the GameBoy Player.
N64/NES/FC/SNES/SFC/GB (SGB)/GBC (Black)(SGB)/FDS/Satellaview/Genesis/Mega Drive/Master System & maybe N64DD/GBC/GBA.

Man, I never had a problem with that game's music. I remember being pretty puzzled when years later I found out online that a lot of people really hate the Sonic R soundtrack.

I like it, with the lyrics turned off.
So you can sing over the music while you play, right?

Turning Metroid 3D might not have necessarily been risky, but handing it over to a western developer certainly rose a lot of eyebrows.
And either way, I remember a lot of fans being really pissed off about it.
Until it came out and they played it, but still.
Maybe risk wasn't the most accurate term, but its undeniable Nintendo deviated with the majority of their franchises during the 6th generation.

You're all crazy
Own: Sega Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Xbox 360
The Dreamcast is way overrated Yoshi's Island and Paper Mario series are nauseating. Harvest Moon is boring and tedious; Farmville for "gamers". The NES was the single greatest console of all time, and nothing Sega has done has even gotten close. The SNES is a step down, and Genesis below that. PS2 RPGs by and large suck. Anyone who spent thousands of dollars on a NWC cart is the subject of "a fool and his...", the only exception being if they sold it to make a profit. The obsession with terribly bad but obscenely expensive games is what's killing this hobby: Cheetahmen, Earthbound, NWC, the dozen 2600 games that never saw actual retail for good reason. High end shmups are way inflated.
