Hey, nice timing!

I'm actually embarking myself in an important game project where I try to gain a wide knowledge base by playing the most important titles. No game critic should go without playing Dungeons and Dragons or Xevious, it's like a film one not watching Birth of a Nation and Casablanca. You must know a lot about the medium and be able to contextualize everything.

So I have a huge list to play. Sure, I've played a good chunk of it but it should be interesting. I'm also going to write about it to see what people think and to expy my sins, it should be interesting! 8)

Beat Bayou Billy, or perhaps smash the cart with a hammer.

You'll have more fun with option number 2...not even Captain N could beat that game.

'an episode titled "How's Bayou" '

THAT is hilariously awful. The thought of that as a tag line for a movie made me tear up from laughter.

Which got me to wondering who I would cast for popular video game characters. Tom Cruise as Ryo of Shenmue? I could see it. Dolph as Duke Nukem? Sure. May have to create a thread for this line of questioning.

My cousin opened for Lovitz around a year ago. Super perv (Lovitz), but super funny and actually a lot nicer than you would imagine.

My aspirational gaming goals:

* Round out my N64 collection;
( I have acquired two games, but I still have ten games on my want list.)

* Round out my GameCube collection;
(I have acquired three games, but I still have twenty-five games on my want list.)

* Round out my Xbox collection;
(I have acquired six games, but I still have twenty-eight games on my want list.)

* Acquire inexpensive, complete Wii games before GameStop gets rid of them;
(I have acquired nine Wii games this year...and I acquired many of them during GameStop's sales!)

* Photograph my collection
( I am going to try to fill a few holes in my collection before attempting to photograph it. By prioritizing certain games, I have made good progress toward the prerequisite, and I am really looking forward to photgraphing my collection later this year.)

This years it for me, I'm roughly a few months away (financially) from having, owning, and gasiming over my personal achievement. 4 years of harvesting shall grant my every (gaming) desire... TEKTOROs 100% complete collection!

Heres the breakdown of whats left to do:

SEGA SATURN- 1 games left, cost=$60
Turbografx 16- 8 games left, cost=$200
XBOX- 10 games left, cost=$50
XBOX 360- 14 games left, cost=$230
Panasonic 3DO- 20 games left, cost=$varies$
Phillips CD-i 1 games left, cost=? (Zelda's Adventure..The really expensive one)
Super Nintendo- 2 games left, cost=$75
Nintendo- 18 games left, cost=$140
GameCube- 4 games left, cost=$85
Playstation- 12 games left, cost=$300
Playstation 2- 2 games left, cost=$15
Playstation 3- 17 games left, cost=$300
PSP- 2 games left, cost=$20
Vita- 6 games left, cost=?

I just threw an estimate cost incase you guys were wondering what would cost that amoungst x amount of games, and the remaining amount of games aren't to complete whole entire libraries of said systems either, but to complete of what I want for those systems. And not to contradict myself, but I'm not counting pre releases or future titles of thee unknown.

On top of the collection goals, I'm also intrested in getting plastics sleeves, replacement cases, and CD repair machine (if needed) to further pimp out my collection with proper maintenence. I currently own around 500-600+ games and spare consoles for each.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
