I use invert for flying games. Starfox trained me to use them. I can't use anything else.

Anyone find it weird that they use normal for every game but for some reason the look mode in Goldeneye for N64 makes total sense despite it being inverted?

I have no problem switching between the two either tbh.

I can go either way. Ive always been able to play whatever the games default settings are. Whether it be flight simulation, first person shooter, or even 3rd person shooters. Neither setting will hinder my performance...after i get used to it. However After playing certain games inverted (in the last couple years that has become the prominent default setting), that becomes the way i play better, just out of memory. It becomes second nature.

Using sticks I have to be inverted, and if it is an FPS it HAS to be Legacy controls. Ive been using them for 10 years now and I wont buy the game if it doesnt support the control scheme.

Now on the PC it is standard Half Life controls or nothing. Even Tribes gets the WASD treatment (esdf maybe better but screw off).

a long long time ago, back when I played Castle fo the Winds my dad's friend let us borrow his flight simulator. Since then I naturally acclimate to inverted controls, fps or otherwise

Inverted controls are mainly for analog sticks for fps and flight games. I hardly ever use the mouse for flight sims though, because I can't tolerate inverting controls on that!

I absolutely MUST use inverted controls for games with a POV. Doesn't matter the genre, style or whether it's fist or third person.

I think it's just a personal preference -- it has to do with the way your brain is wired. Someone mentioned thinking of it like pulling your head back to look up. That's how my brain processes it, and that's how I have to play. Doesn't matter if it's a flight game, Rez, RE4, or any kind of FPS ... it's gotta be invert for me.

It's the same for me with RE4. It has to be on invert otherwise I just can't play it.

Come to think of it. The whole pull back to look up is the same on the Wii. I generally play with the remote in my hand and I just pull back to move the pointer up the screen.
