Playstation 1 compatibility question

My local thrift store has a playstation 1 for $5, but there is no cords, only the console and a controller, will the ps1 work with playstation 2 composite cables as I have a few of them lying around. Also would the PSP ac adapter be able to power it?

Yes on both counts. The PS1/PS2/PS3 has the same multi-out port. Everything except the component cables will work on a PS1 multi-out port.

Yeah RGB is its best quality. Component takes active conversion as usual.
