Ricky Oh
I've seen some of the fights on youtube but I finally sat down to watch the whole movie since I found it on netflix. Unfortunately, it's neither subtitled or dubbed, so I had no idea what was going on. I just fast forwarded to the violence and finished it in about 30 minutes.
Since I still wanted to watch a full movie, I watched "Bad Ass" with Danny Trejo. It's the best terrible movie I've seen in some time. The screenplay seems to be the root of the problem, but I think the producers may have been responsible for how dumbed down it ended up. It hit pretty much every film cliche on the head. But for all the groaning I did, I laughed an equal amount of times. It seemed like the people who made the movie were having a good time and not taking it too seriously, and it shows. From the villain, "Panther", who sort of did his own over the top thing, to the commuter bus chase at the end, I wasn't bored. It was better than Machete, and is actually the type of movie that Machete was pretending to be.

Minecraft: The Movie
Was pretty interesting, and worth the watch. For the past couple years I was addicted to the game, and it was a great way to pull our family together. We had WoW addicts, and FPS addicts, but everybody could find something enjoyable to do in Minecraft, and we could do it together. Since I kept up with the posts from Mojang and watch a lot of Let's Plays, I already knew most of what was talked about, but it was interesting to see it from a different (more "behind the scenes") perspective.
We're finally watching The Hobbit tomorrow. My sort-of-mother-in-law was flabbergasted that we hadn't seen it yet.

I hope you enjoy it. The Hobbit is my favorite novel and I thought the movie was pretty good. Peter Jackson announced pretty late in the game that he was gonna make three parts instead of the originally planned two, but he obviously thought things through because if it's gonna be three parts, part one ends at the logical stopping point.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Re-watched Phantom of the Paradise recently. Still one of my fave movies.
Also re-watched Taxandria last night. Still a great movie, and breathtaking, too.

I just got out of GI Joe Retaliation. Lots of fun stuff blowing up, but then Israel acknowledged their nuclear program and destroyed my suspension of disbelief.

Time Bandits on Netflix. Geez... I remembered that movie being creepy and weird, but watching it again lends new perspective.
