I find it to actually be fairly decent. And there are loose cartridges available for less than 10$ on average.

A lot has been changed to move the game more towards being a Mana game and less of a Final Fantasy spinoff (like the original was). You have things like the elemental spirits, a variety of weapons, and a crafting system like in Legend of Mana. You also get the ability to play through as either the original protagonist or the girl, and to get the full story you need to play as both.

Megaman V for the GB was totally its own thing, had some cool planet/galaxy named robot masters, and the final stage was a big interconnected level that was very awesome. Megaman Xtreme 1-2 on the GBC were really late games that look outstanding for the hardware, they mixed in both MMX1-2 content and are pretty cool. Definitely recommend these three for any big Megaman fans.
