To note, my opinion is that many showing up on the forums are from sellers who unwittingly bought boots.
Regardless of your opinion on repros / conversions / boots, I think we would all agree that to not clearly identify it as such is wrong.
As I am rounding out my personal Super Famicom collection, just in the past 6 months alone, the number of conversions showing up is very disconcerting.
Here is an example, using the game "Iron Commando":
Original:
Here is a conversion/boot:
Quick giveaways (if you are actively looking for them). Some discoloration of label, the writing isn't under the logo or under the game title (harder to scan/replicate w/o blurring).

Nowhere does it let the buyer know it is a bootleg. I've seen this particular seller now sell this game a few times and some poor buyer is none the wiser. I've reported the item as well, but no action yet, apparently.

It is clearly listed as custom-made, which is a good thing. I think my only concern with this is that: Why are we making an english version of a game with no text? Why are we selling it for the same price as the SFC version? Again, those are sidebars though.
This is happening with all the $100+ titles:
Deae Tonosama Appare Ichiban
Gourmet Sentai
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (Ryukenden Tomoe)
Undercover Cops
Magical Pop'n
