Ok I went through the trouble of buying RE2 cartridge for my N64 . I checked if it was working and it was . Now couple months later , I turned the cartridge on and and as I was playing around with the options ..... the game amazingly restarts...
so I thought I hit some sort of a wrong button. I tried to play it again and some how it just keeps restarting, sometimes before the menu screen , sometimes during the option screen, some time during the cgi intro . I never faced such issue all my life with any cartridge based system.
I tried 2 others cartridges that I cleaned well, did not work at all. I then tried Star Wars Shadow of the Empire and the game played well I even played some of the first level. No issues what so ever,
Can any one help or explain ?
if it helps I am playing in a Samsung smart TV and the RE2 issues started happening when I chose control option to be in first person though I am not sure how that created the issue

This is just a random thought.

Have you checked that?

Re: Weird N64 issues
I did clean the cartridges , and I did clean the cartridge slot like couple months ago, not sure if it needs another cleaning .
The jump pack never gave me problems before , i played about 90% of Perfect Dark on it. Also the jump pack shouldnt have been tempered with as no one touches thos system except me.
I will try to clean everything again . I hope the cartridge is not damaged within inside the game
