Which To Buy: Castlevania Bloodlines or Castlevania IV?

You should get both eventually. Castlevania IV gets the slight edge to me though. Both are classic 16-bit goodness.

Yes, Castlevania IV has awesome music, but so does Bloodlines. Still, I think I like the music in IV a little bit more. Some of those bass lines kill me! I voted IV simply because I think the game play is more enjoyable.

But they're both very good installments for the series, and you should just get both!

I have to go for Bloodlines it's more challenging than Castlevania IV and plays more like the earlier castlevania games.

You also have the character choice, which ups the replay value. I usually play the game with the whip, but the spear allows you to reach area you normally wouldn't be able to.
