Watched Wrath of the Titans last night, the sequel to the Clash of the Titans remake. A rare case of the sequel being better than the first movie.

It was VERY good. If you're into fantasy movies, then you have to check this movie out! Great fantasy story based on Greek mythology and the Gods. Awesome special effects. And lots of action. I highly recommend this one to anyone into these kind of movies.

Better than the last one? Pretty close.

I agree. The main problem with Clash is that the story wandered all over the place and seemed a bit too episodic. While that can work in some movies (John Carter, for example), I felt that it did not work as well in this case. Wrath was better because it followed a single plotline from beginning to end and most scenes were at least partially related to the main plot. I've heard they're considering making a third, but given how Wrath ended, I don't see how that would be narratively possible.

Seemed like they made it obvious they were gonna make a sequel, to me. The way Perseus handed his God-forged sword to his son, seemed to insinuate his son would carry-on the hero tradition.

Zero Dark Thirty

The last 30 minutes were the meat. Skip the "we havent found him yet" parts which last 2 hours.

Very kick ass.
It was nice to see an undercover cop movie that wasn't pretentious for once.

Retaliation should have ended at about the one hour mark. You'll know what I'm talking about once you see it. But the fight scenes are well choreographed, the ninja stuff is pretty awesome, and there's some destruction porn, so you'll probably eat it up.
My favorite part of the movie was either Duke and Roadblock playing video games or seeing Snake Eyes in a kitchen. A ninja in a kitchen; what a crazy world those Joes live in.

But the third act disappoints. and the ending isn't really a cliffhanger, nor does it leave you wanting more. The movie also keeps up the current trend of giving the main villain a silly voice. And the destruction of London was just filler. They could have edited it out and it would have no impact on the movie.
