First I want to say thnx to RetroVision for inviting me to this site, I am 30 from Illinois, I collect many systems and do not have a favorite company. My oldest system I own is a Bally astrocade with 13 games!, I also have a ton of PS1 games and NES. recently acquired over 20 really good N64 loose games for next to nothing. I am building a mancave basement to display everything.
Welcome dude! Glad you joined. You will find tons of info and good people here.

Good morning, evening, afternoon, whenever you read this. My name is Jeffery I'm 31 and I've been on a Nintendo kick lately. Enough so I recently picked up a GameCube, although mostly so I can play Gameboy games.

Hey all, I've been lurking around here on an off for a bit, figured It's about time I try and join in on the community.

I've been casually picking up a few odds and ends of gaming history over the years and didn't really notice until someone pointed out that I may be a collector. I only own the really mainstream consoles, the NES, Famicom, SNES, N64, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2,3 Xbox 360, and Wii and my collections not big in terms of numbers but I love finding old gems and playing through them, especially RPGs.

I have one spare room in my house that I've been setting up as my classic gaming room for my older NES and Sega consoles. Recently put up some shelving and hung a pretty attractive framed Panzer Dragon tribute centerpiece on the wall. Maybe if I can get some decent lighting in there one day I'll take a few pictures for the collections subforum.

Hello everyone!

I've been on and off lurking this site for some years, and I finally got myself to register to participate in this like-minded community.

At the moment, pretty much my whole collection is staying in the basement, but as soon as I move, I want to give them a more presentable place.
Maybe it's because I'm always keeping an eye open for good deals on retro tech, but somehow, I completely lost touch with recent games, but I'm happy with all the games that I have now, and I don't think that I'd have to play a game twice if I didn't want to in the next years.
Maybe it's also because I always go back to my favourites though...

I'm sure many here are having the same "dilemma".

Hey Racketboy Community,

Long time reader, first time poster here. I'm 23, somewhat of a collector, and a definite retro game enthusiast. I collect mostly to play, with some novel items here and there. Anyway, I'm big into Super Nintendo and GBA but I also like some Sega systems. I have newer systems that I sometimes play but most of the time I play Super Nintendo if anything at all. Currently playing: Earthbound and Metal Combat.

Side note: I'm thinking of parting with my PS1 collection. It might make an appearance on this forum if anyone's interested.
Before we assume our respective roles in this enduring drama just let me say that when these frail shadows we inhabit now have quit the stage we'll meet and raise a glass again together in Valhalla.

Hi,

New member here, long time gamer. Really partial to the retro stuff, rarely even turn on the 360 anymore. Just not my style. New Yorker here, love to get outdoors when I'm not busy with work or acting like a child screaming at the tv because the game lagged or some probably self-made bullshit;P
Don't hate the player, hate the (video)game.

Hello Everyone,

I have been reading the forums for a couple of years and decided to join on a whim. I am 27 years old, love games and like to read what everyone posts. I am not a collector, quite the opposite. I consider myself a minimalist, but I do indulge in certain video game collectibles. I plan on purchasing a Nintendo 3DS or a WiiU in the future. I hope to be a great addition to the forums.

Thanks again.
