Sucks for them because once that happens Panzer Dragoon Saga will be $1,000 for a disc only copy.

But by that time saturn emulation will be perfect and available on just about anything.

I was firmly in the N64 camp during that generation... it wasn't until a while later that I got into the PS1, and only until a few months ago that I got my own and instantly fell in love with the Sega Saturn and its collection. Up until then I had only played a few games via SSF or at a friends place. The Panzer Dragoon series is one of my favorite gaming series ever and up until this year I couldn't play it on the original hardware at my house.

It's very deserving of better status than it has and with the rising prices of it on ebay it seems more people are starting to wake up and realize that fact.

I guess at the time that it was still new I was still feeling burned by the Sega CD and 32X and skipped on it completely. The PS1 and PS2 have had such an amazing library that they and other modern/retro games have just kept me too occupied to even think of the Saturn.

I agree on both points: It deserves better recognition than it gets, but Sony did a good enough job keeping us more or less entertained to keep Sega's old competitor out of our minds.

Yeah, though the import version is like 20 bucks.

And that's actually the version i played a couple of years ago, for the first time in my life. The only time i ever needed a translation guide was at those tutorial sections. Besides those, i finished the game with no translation guide at all..

And it blew me away. Besides the outdated engine and cinematic videos, it has not aged one second, because it has not ben replicated at all, and it's so well designed that, if not for the engine, it would pass as a modern game, and a really great modern game by today's standards.

There's no need for grinding at all, the battle system is completely unique & satisfying with just the right amount of depth to it, also has just the right amount of linearity to push you foward, the atmosphere is dense and immersive, the soundtrack is extraordinary, every single character is fully voice acted, and it's at a sweet spot of 15 to 20 hours in length.
