But you guys...Yeesh!

And grown men playing video games is great. Grown men arguing like kids over wrestling is not.
I'll reluctantly admit that I've gotten a bit heated and immature in my last few posts. I've been kind of grumpy in general lately for reasons not having to do with gaming or this forum. Plus, people have been complaining about the Rock for the same reasons for two years now and it's just one of those things I've gotten so sick and tired of that it makes me roll my eyes, but arguing about it clearly accomplishes nothing.

I'll just drop it so that the thread can get back to being fun again

That pissed UPN/Viacom off enough to have the character completely written off.

What was interesting about the character was that nothing he said (at least in the beginning) was heelish. He just wanted the same opportunity as others in our country and given his gimmick, was booed out of the building. Was pretty interesting from a sociology standpoint.
I remember liking Hassan. He was an interesting character. I love heels with valid points, but they tend to be out of place in the wrestling world where characters are supposed to be simple and black and white. A heel with valid points is too grey for pro wrestling. On another note, seeing that video also reminds me of how cute Candace Michelle was

It's funny that he's actually an Italian American. A lot of the stuff he was ranting about was the truth. He's certainly not the first heel who gets hated by the audience by pointing out facts in a heelish manner. Atleast before his character became more of a terrorist. And people would start chanting USA like in that video, while Jericho is Canadian and and he's American. Delicious irony. Now that I look at it, it kinda makes wrestling crowds and fans look bad, like they're uneducated.

During his 7 month run he accomplished a lot: his first tv appearance was interrupting Mick Foley, he got wins over legends like like Jerry Lawler and Sgt Slaughter and feuded with people like Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan plus had segments with people like Stone Cold, Y2J and so on.

What about Stone Cold? Or The Rock? World life John Cena (although he wasn't supposted to be a face, but got cheered on)? Many characters of the attitude era/2002-2004/2005 qualify when they were faces. Not to mention ECW.
Stone Cold is the best example though, he was the super hero good guy of the attitude era and he very rarely did anything heroic (like saving Stephanie McMahon from the Undertaker) and was all in all a very bad role model (antihero). He even got cheered during his heel run, though that was the fans fault.

As much as I dislike Cena, and especially this ridiculous story they're trying to tell for his rematch - this shirt is still awesome.

Awesome ending to an otherwise weak Raw

Well, like I said before, Rock/Cena is the best built feud going into Mania. And also like I said before, not getting the Rock on a regular basis is great when it means that the segments where we DO see him are going to be this good. QUALITY over QUANTITY.

I rest my case. I know what I'm talking about.

Can someone provide a recap (or a link to a recap) to last night's RAW?

I was thrilled I didn't waste my time and money and go down to that RAW. I rarely miss them in Philly but with going to Mania in a week, didn't really have the urge.
