It's not on any download services and it's hard to emulate, which means that people who can't afford and/or want to put up with finding and caring for old hardware wouldn't really care for it.

Also a valid point. I've found several sites with good ROM downloads, but current emulation speeds and compatibility are very discouraging. I tried to emulate Radiant Silvergun a while back and got a total of like 3fps even with overclocking (and I have a fairly high-end system). I ended up getting the XBLA port of it, but that isn't an option with many Saturn classics.

Well the two main genre of games on the saturn are Fighters and shoot em ups, both of which are not very popular among modern gamers.

Saturn is my favorite console too, but like others have said, it was never widely popular. Back in the day, I was the only one in my group of friends who had one, and I only knew of one other person who had one. When I bought my Saturn, the clerk at Toys R Us even tried to convince me to get a PlayStation instead. So yeah, it wasn't very popular to begin with.

Another thing to consider is that very few Saturn games have been rereleased, whereas Sega is constantly rereleasing Genesis and Dreamcast games.

Which is odd, because I think a rerelease of Panzer Dragoon, Legend of Oasis, or similar titles would do quite well, even if it was in a niche market.

I just got my Saturn and I love it I've known about it for quite awhile, but none of my friends either know what a Sega Saturn is or even Sega for that matter, all they want me to do is sell my collection and buy a high-end PC which will never happen!

I want a saturnagain but all the games are soo high in price that's why i picked a dreamcast for my birthday last year instead of a saturn. The 2d fighters and shooters I own on my modded xbox so i chose the dreamcast. Don't get me wrong I think the saturn was and still is a great machine but I know what everyone is here is with their friends about thesystem. I was the only one who had the mahine. The games I loved were world series baseball 2, vf 2,, guardian heroes, daytona and any 2d type game.

Old games and 2D games aren't of much interest to most modern gamers.

If this were the case, then I dont think the XBLA/PSN/eShop would be packed to the brim with HD remakes, re-releases, and retro style Indie titles.

I think those are for retro gamers who own modern systems, if they truly were popular with modern gamers we would see physical releases of those games. It's cheap to distribute digital only games so those games were able to see the light of day, I think I can count the number of 2d games that got disk releases on one hand not including import shmups.
