I played through the trial and liked it more than I thought I would. The graphics are just lovely. I don't really care for beat'em-ups or action games with RPG elements, but I'll probably buy this when it's on sale.

I seem to recall him once saying this would be Xbox only, but apparently it's going to Steam now for you PC players to enjoy. Hell, I may just buy it a second time now

I just finished D:AET after picking it up when it was on sale on Steam a few days back... Damn... I mean, damn. This game is high in the running for my favorite game of this generation. I kind of always had a sneaking suspicion that I would love this game, but I had no idea it would be this much! I'm planning on writing up a proper review of it soon, so I'll save my gushing about the game for then, but this game completely floored me. :D

I bought it from the same sale. Haven't quite finished it yet, but will probably do so this weekend. I do like it, but I also hope there was game mode without any RPG elements.

What's the Hardcore difficulty like, is it just stronger enemies and less powerful Dust?

I really wish I had played the game inn hard mode. I played it through in normal mode, and it was still way too easy. I usually cut through enemies like butter, and bosses went down in a matter of seconds. But, to be fair,I have the tendency to grind a lot and get the best gear before a boss fight.

Yeah, I am planning on getting back to this game to finish it on hard. I think that'll actually give me the last achievement I need. I saw a video of a boss fight on hard on youtube. They seem to take a lot more hits. You have to actually learn their patterns and dodge attacks. On normal, you can either kill them quickly or just stun lock them with magic attacks. I've always chosen to play games for the first time on normal, but sometimes it can be good to play a game the first time through on a higher difficulty. I did that with Fire Emblem Awakening. If I remember correctly though, I don't think Dust: AEL lets you play on hard right off the bat.
