Shmup developer Milestone inc. goes out of business...

Post by CD AGES »

It appears due to the company president getting arrested due to some shaddy dealings.

Honestly I don't see this as a real loss. Hated Chaos Feiled. Radigery or whatever it was, is at best Average, Only game they did I'd say was Fantastic was Karous, even then it's at bit on the average side.

I love Chaos Field. But most other Milestone games did very little for me.

If it's fanstastic...then it isn't average. And yes, it is fantastic.

Radirgy is an acquired taste - no matter what you think of it, average should not be used to describe it. Gorgeous game, if not a bit complicated to understand the canceling and scoring mechanics.

Chaos Field employs boss rush, scoring, and strategy better than any other game in the genre.

Illmatic Envelope is also exceptional, and probably their most indepth game.

I've never played the Radirgy sequels, so can't comment on those.

Illvelo and Radirgy Noa are my favorites from them. Very good shmups. It's too bad. Very few shmup developers left.
