HELP WITH SATURN - Not sure if mod is done correctly PICS

Post by mattyboy79 »

I started another thread how my saturn was not recognising burnt cds. I have opened up my saturn and seen that A+B method was used.

i took my saturn to a console repairer to mod it for me while i waited. I am now also unsure whether my saturn is a 32 pin or 64.

Could the signal wire or A+B method be the cause of this ?

There is no blue signal wire on the chip anymore as it has been cut off bu the installer.

Is my chip ruined of can i fix it. If it is this at all.

here are links to pictures of my saturn. What type do i have and is this mod done correctly.

could the signal wire be causing this

your Saturn is a 64Pin IC

check this link below , it shows how your modchip should be installed. According to the guide A+B method cant be used on a JPN 64Pin Saturn.

i use Robb Webbs Saturn chips ive done 7 installs to my JPN Saturns all with success , some were 32 Pin and some 64 Pin

Sorry for all the posts in a row.

Is my chip able to be saved or do I need a new one?
