Fair enough, I should have specified about labels on rare carts. My bad.

I had no idea Aerofighters had dropped in price, AF3 for $50 is a no brainier - it goes for $100 on Ebay right now. I sold my MVS recently, but kept my AF2 cart since I enjoy it so much (and if I buy another MVS down the road).

Between the Analogue Interactive and Omega CMVS's on the market, there has been a significant uptick in MVS interest, which includes a few speculators (ie, gougers) on ebay, Magician Lord, a cart that has been $40 for the few years i've been into MVS is now doing $80-100 on ebay...but it's still a $40 cart on NG/Shmups from the sales i've seen.

I'd bet an AF2 could do $50-60 on ebay "buy now" right now, but on the shmups/neo forums it's been a $35-ish cart for i'd say the last 18 months or so.

Xian Xi's guide on JammaNationX is still a pretty reliable resource for anyone unsure on what a cart should likely sell for.

I recommend the multi-carts for anyone getting into MVS - with the cost to ship a single game at about $6-8 (depending on zip) it behooves one to try out all the diff games before buying 'em all up. Lots of great stuff, lots of good stuff...and some garbage too, of course.

I could not get used to that Tekken button layout. It might work pretty good for KOF 94 and Shodown, but nothing else.
Ahhh.. Yeah that looks pretty close. Most of everything has been painted over so its pretty impossible to tell for sure.

The button layout bothers me less than I though it would. It does work pretty decently for fighters.

I plan on grabbing a multicart as soon as I can. Most likely the 161 in 1 or the 120 in 1. Anyone have one of these / Have a specific one they recommend?

Also, I finally got my tool to adjust the horizontal width coil and that only seemed to help so much. There seems to be two coils, one on the PCB for the monitor and one on top of the flyback. I didn't notice it until I started trying to adjust the coil on the PCB with little success. I've got it to the point now where each of the horizontal sides are even, but I still can't adjust it to go much smaller than it is. I may do a bit more adjusting and see what that gets me. For now, its still playable and better than it was.

I don't understand how Magician Lord is going up in value when it's been recently re-released in collections and comes with the recent Neo-Geo X system.

A couple speculators put 'em out at crazy buy nows ($100+) and all it takes is no others currently on ebay, a guy gets his Omega or AI CMVS and wants the original cart after playing it on a compilation disc or something. Sees 2 on ebay, one at $110, one at $90 and figures the one at $90 is a good buy, so he buys it.

What's funny is when they find a forum, shmups / AO / neo / KLOV and try to sell it for $100 and then the forum telling them (not always politely)...yr game is worth $40. Go away.
