I did. I was a little mad when I woke up and didn't see it up on Wii Ware, but I was able to download it around 1pm. I've been reading on other forums people discussing the possible order of the stages. I played every stage, and died on all of them, before discovering that Galaxy Man is by far the easiest. Now I just have to figure out who's weak against his weapon!
So who else downloaded it today? What stages have you played/beat already? What are your impressions on the game so far?
So who downloaded MM9 today?
Re: So who downloaded MM9 today?
Ooo! Ooo! I got it today. On Wily Stage 1 right now. I've abused the save function a couple of times when I realized that I've wasted an Energy tank on a boss.
I ended up doing a stage order of Galaxy Man (easy stage and boss), Splash Woman (not too hard stage and boss), Tornado Man, Concrete Man, Magma Man, Gem Man, Hornet Man, Plug Man. As it turned out, I was able to hit about half the weaknesses of the bosses.
There's some really evil stuff that the devs put in. Three cheers for them. In Wily Stage 1 I finally got so frustrated after wasting all my lives on a single puzzle that I had to check gamefaqs. Now I feel stupid for not trying what they listed, and I'm going to see if I can finish the game unassisted.

Re: So who downloaded MM9 today?
I got it about a couple hours ago. Extremely hard O.o. Even more frustrating than the lost levels.
Re: So who downloaded MM9 today?
I think it's hard, but not any harder then the NES Mega Mans. The only thing that makes it hard, to me, if having to actually memorize parts of levels and the boss pattern.
Did any one look at the challenges? I got two already, but you have no choice. One was for killing my 100th enemy and the other was for defeating a Boss with only the mega buster (which you have to do). Some of the challenges made me laugh, like clearing the game 5 times in a day, or another one was to clear the game once a day for three days in a row. There are some other pretty funny ones.
And I didn't actually add it up, but what is it like $20 to download all the extra add on stuff?

My younger bro downloaded it today, I haven't played it yet. It seems good to me from what I've seen, some clever level design, though it felt like some levels were a tad short, though that might just have been the fact that the person playing on Youtube was very good. It's been a while since I've played one of the NES Mega Man games though, so I might just not remember it as well.
Bosses are kinda cool, I don't get how Galaxy Man is weak against Concrete Man's power (or why he isn't just Space Man or UFO Man or something), but the bosses are still better then some of the stuff we got in Mega Man 8. Great catchy tunes too.
If I get my own Wii this year, I'm sure I'll wind up buying it too.
Wait, what's this talk about extra stuff?

I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.

There will be DLC available, and it is listed in the operations manual. Shamelessly stolen from GameFAQs boards:
- Endless Attack: A never ending level where players compete for who arrives the farthest. (300 Points)
- Hero Mode: Play the whole game on a higher difficulty. (100 Points)
- Superhero Mode: Play the whole game on an extremely high difficulty. (100 Points)
- Proto Man Mode: Play the game as Proto Man (200 Points)
- Special Stage: A brand new stage with a brand new boss for Time Attack. (100 Points)

Hmm, I thought there was more. So $8 for all the extra stuff. All in all, the game would cost $18 if you were to download everything, which is still a great price.
Re: So who downloaded MM9 today?
Just got it, and it pretty much kicked my ass.
My kid is gonna get PISSED at this game! And I almost don't blame him.
Man, I'm rusty. I DID beat Galaxy Man, however.
