Using original Xbox controllers on the Saturn
Using original Xbox controllers on the Saturn
Is a circuit to do this feasible? It's widely known Xbox protocol is based on USB, which doesn't sound very hopeful...
Lum fan.
Re: Using original Xbox controllers on the Saturn
It may be possible to use 2 adapters chained together:
Mayflash XP Joybox -> Tototek Classic Joypad Converter for Saturn -> Saturn console
The comment on Amazon about the XP Joybox working with a PS2-GC controller adapter makes it sound like it's doable. You could ask Satoshi Matrix to do some testing for you - his Youtube video is what clued me into these (I'm still waiting for mine to arrive in the mail from Australia since it's the only place I could find one for sale that would ship to Canada)
I remember reading that someone had made a universal controller adapter that worked by plugging different male and female sockets together to a board that turned the controllers into a standard signal. I think someone posted about it here actually. The only other thing I remember was that it used Serial or DB9 connectors to attach the different male and female sockets to the center bit that did all the magic. You could buy just the bits you wanted or pay a whole lot to get all the different adapters.
