Woo congrats. I'm mildly interested in at least seeing the last issue. I didn't run to the book store and I'm sure they're gougetastic right now.

CRTGAMER wrote: Not really that hard, any photo program can resize the JPG to whatever size you need. I replaced a damaged label on a GBA cart using the method described. The trick is to stick the tape on top and bottom oversized before cutting out the printout. I can see what you mean wanting very professional labels due to the investment of the Arcade PCBs, but maybe give a couple a trial run?

For instance the Space Invaders Anniversary game, a PS2 cover pulled from a Google Image search. When reduced to a SD card size, just crop out the PS2 logo on top. No worries on the NTSC or game ratings logo below since they will be so tiny and appear as if part of the "official" stamp. The smaller logos can also be cropped and or painted out.

Even Arcade Flyers, Marquee or a game screen shot can be used as a SD Card label.

Here's the actual setup:
The motherboard is a bit of a monstrosity, triple decker PCB adn the G-Net cards slide into the PCMCIA input. With this setup, a PCMCIA adapter serves as a universal card, and it accepts games flashed onto individual compact flash cards (as seen in pic 2)

So, the idea is, I make a label the size of that sticker that's on the compact flash card.

I'd love to be able to resize the original labels from the original Taito cards:

Resizing them would be easy if there were quality scans available.

THIS. The G-Net card label just might work out, matching closer to scaling of the Compact Flash Card compared to SD cards which has a label surface that would be taller then wider. Your print program can crop, resize and squeeze the image a little without distorting it too much.

Come to think of it, the image does not have to be rescaled if you just use bottom two thirds of the CFC surface; this keeps the entire label exposed when the card is inserted into the PCB connector.

Found a slightly larger image that is not perfect, but not bad either considering how small the final label will be. There has to be larger images somewhere online that you can crop and resize to fit.

The IN arrow at the corner would be facing the wrong way though, this can easily be copy pasted paint fixed.

mjmjr25, you can always setup a bunch on a 4x5 template, then go print them out at any photo printing kiosk.

Good thoughts and thanks! I'll post a pic in my gameroom thread (which is woefully outdated) when I have them done.

Did a trade with an online member:

I traded my extra copy of Game and Watch Collection (nintendo ds) that was new/sealed, for:

Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix GC
Megaman Network Transmission GC
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker DS (Cart only)

I think I did alright. Didn't have any of the three games..
