Considering how much money ended up lost by that one, somebody was working out a hell of a grudge on the company dime. But then again, it's Disney. So I watched a film with my girlfriend:

She had never seen it before and doubted my high praise of Eddie Murphy's career in the 1980s. Afterward, she apologized for doubting me and asked to see the rest of the series. I love this movie and I view it as one of Murphy's best during the high point of his film career, though 48 Hours is probably my favorite because of how gritty and willing to push the characters' prejudice to the forefront.
If you have never watched this movie, go do it. Go do it NOW.
