It's been more than four years since the original ETS shipped, naturally I stopped "playing" it ages ago.. The sequel has been out for a while; I still find it relaxing to drive those behemoths from point A to point B whilst taking in the scenery and squeezing through the orderly traffic, in short bursts at least. The visuals have been spruced up a bit, but even at maximum settings it's no Gran Turismo. It still scales nicely to your hardware though, so even Intel HD chipsets can run the thing at native resolutions. The new GPS interface is handy and there's an option to listen to live radio streaming in-game without editing any config files (though you can add your own channels too).
It's ultimately pointless but it fulfils a certain niche along the likes of Railworks and that Farming Simulator ( ).

Railworks may be pointless, but Train Simulator 2013 can be used to log time for your engineer certs for some railroads. Euro Truck is fun for a bit, just to see the scenery, and I am glad it works on low specced machines. But after driving a real semi the last two weekends, it has lost a lot of its "luster" for lack of a better word.
As a trucker this seems pretty neat.Wonder if you can change the weight u are pulling, tankers, doubles and triples.Remeber my first time going down Black mountain full loaded with 43k pushing me.
