I remember at least one thread where we posted computer pics/specs. It was a while back tho.

I might post mine. I just don't get what's so cool or fascinating about the inside of computer towers.

Because posting pics of a PC you built is being able to show it off! And looking at other people's builds is fun to see what they have and what they did. It's like car guys looking under the hood of their cars.

Now let's see if I can actually remember what I have inside

Mobo: Biostar T-Power X58
CPU: Intel i7 920
RAM: 6GB DDR3 (triple channel)
GPU: GeForce 9800 GT
HDD: Intel 120GB SSD
HDD: 1TB, 2x 750GB WD Black and Green I think
PSU: Enermax something watts a million amps
Case: COOLER MASTER Centurion 5
Mouse: LogiTech MX310
Keyboard: Gateway SK-1510
Other: Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler

It might seem like a ridiculous amount of HDD space. When I first built the PC I just threw in the 1TB drive. After some time I got the two 750GB drives, one I keep all my music, videos, pics, docs, etc while the other one backs it up. I originally had a mirror RAID set up, but then I broke it and started using the Windows 7 backup utility, but that's why I bought two identical drives. Some time last year I decided to get the SSD, which is dedicated to the OS and programs. The 1TB drive is now used for bulk dump, temp space, and that kind of crap. I do audio editing and have been trying to learn video editing, so a huge junk drive comes in handy.

edit: If you right click the first image I posted and view it full size, you can actually read the sticker on the side of the PSU. 650w doesn't seem like anything special, but I actually hunted for one with specific amperage on each rail.

The V8 cooler is kind of stupid, I've thought about taking it out and putting the stock Intel back in. It works great and all that, but it makes it harder to clean the case out. And the cooler itself is a little harder to clean than the stock HSF. My normal computer habits has my CPU running at the same temp with either cooler anyway. I haven't done much PC gaming in the past few years. I don't even have a game installed right now. I keep saying that I'll install something just so I can check the CPU temps, but, meh.

Very nice, going to guess you built it in 2009-2010 based on the video card and the i know for sure the CPU is 2010.

I have 2 500GB Internal drives and a 1TB External, and im still worried about running out of room

Yes the V8 cooler is overkill imo, should of went for something like:

My CPU isnt unlocked and the farthest i can take it is 3.8ghz, so stock cooling is good enough for me, now if i had a i5 2500k instead of a i5 2400, i would take that beast to 4.5ghz and would get the Hyper 212 or:

You have a Similar build to mine, minus the AMD CPU, my last build had a Gigabyte Mobo and AMD CPU, figured i would try Intel this time around.

As long as the components stay cool I couldn't care less how my cables look. Since the PC appears to stay cool, the cables stay messy.

This case has a tiny window that lets you see the CPU fan if you look directly through it. Completely useless, but since it's on the left side I don't see it. Seems pretty hard to find cheap cases without windows. It's the hip thing now I guess.

Then the small one which is my old gaming pc/htpc:
1.8ghz Athalon XP, 2gigs of DDR, 60gig IBM Harddrive, Geforce FX5700

Then my wifes old gaming pc:
3ghz P4, 2 gigs of DDR, 80gig Seagate Harddrive, Geforce MX440

Then my current gaming pc:
2.6ghz Q6600, 4gigs of DDR2, 1.5 TB of WD Harddrives, Geforce 9600GT

The only reason I bought the Dell as my gaming PC is because I had a listing of parts made on Newegg for a Q6600 build and it went on sale on Dell SMB with everything I wanted but the step down on motherboards, for the price of the Q6600 on Newegg. So I bought the base rig for $400, and added some extras. As much as I love building from scratch, that was too good to pass on.

What is with all the hate for side windows, i would say the same thing about cases without windows, i think NOT having a window these days is ignorant to the fact the components are designed alot more flashy than they used to be.

Some of the most expensive cases have side windows fyi.
