xband mod

Does anyone think there is a way to mod the xband carts to give the SNES and Sega Genesis a feature similar to the system link used with more recent consoles?

Since it connected to a host, very unlikely. But a better question would be why? It really only had Fighters and Sports games.

No reason. I just thought it might be interesting to see a system link feature on a retro system.

Understood. Curiosity like that is why I built my Four Swords setup. Take a look at Zero Tolerance for the Genesis if you want to do a systemlink game.

Yes this is possible. Check out telephone line simulators. You can connect two devices and make it believe it is connected via a true phone line. Some support dial tone emulation etc...
